Where to Catch the Fast Boat in Bali
Your departure point depends on where you are staying in Bali:
- Serangan Harbour - Ideal for travellers staying in Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, or Sanur. (Around 2 hours 30 minutes)
- Sanur Harbour - Another convenient option for the southwest of Bali. (Around 2 hours 30 minutes)
- Padang Bai Harbour - Perfect if you’re coming from Ubud or East Bali, or if you want a shorter boat ride. (Around 1 hour 30 minutes)
Note: Most fast boats stop at Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air. Your crew will ensure you disembark at Gili Air, home of Blue Marlin Dive Gili Air.

GETTING TO GILI AIR FROM LOMBOK
If you’re already on Lombok, getting to Gili Air is quick and easy. The island sits just a few kilometres off Lombok’s northwest coast, and you’ll be on island time in no time!
From Bangsal Harbour
- The public ferry departs regularly throughout the day. It’s the most budget-friendly way to reach Gili Air (around 10-15 minutes by boat).
- Alternatively, you can hire a private boat for a faster, more flexible journey - perfect if you’re travelling in a group or with lots of luggage.
From Senggigi or Mataram
- Arrange a car transfer (about 1-1.5 hours) to Bangsal Harbour, then continue by boat to Gili Air.
- Some travel operators offer door-to-door packages combining car + boat transfer, which can be convenient if you want a hassle-free trip.
From Lombok International Airport
From Lombok International Airport (Praya), a car transfer from the airport to Bangsal Harbour takes about 2-2.5 hours. From there, hop on a public or private boat to Gili Air.

- Bangsal → Gili Air (Private boat): 7–10 minutes
