Founded in 1990, Blue Marlin Dive is the original dive centre of the Gili Islands and the flagship location of Indonesia’s largest dive network. For over 30 years, we’ve set the standard for diving in Gili Trawangan — combining world-class training, deep local roots, and the island’s signature laid-back lifestyle.
As a PADI 5★ Dive Resort and Career Development Centre with three decades of passion, safety, and family values at our core, we offer the full range of PADI courses — from first-time Discover Scuba Diving experiences and Open Water certifications to professional-level training — all led by our multilingual, award-winning instructors.
Blue Marlin Gili Trawangan is also home to Blue Marlin Tech, Indonesia’s leading technical diving facility, and an award-winning Instructor Development Course (IDC) program — making us the top choice for divers ready to turn their passion into a career.

Our Instructor Development Course (IDC) is unlike anywhere else in the Gili Islands. We’re proud to be the only dive centre on the island with two full-time PADI Course Directors, offering far more one-to-one mentorship and personal support throughout your journey. Led by multi-Platinum award-winning Course Director Holly Macleod, one of the most respected scuba educators in the world, our IDC combines world-class facilities, hands-on real-world experience, and a supportive, experienced team. You’ll train in a professional yet laid-back environment that reflects the true spirit of island diving — gaining the skills, confidence, and career support to succeed anywhere in the industry.

Blue Marlin Dive Gili Trawangan is perfectly located right on the main beach road — the island’s central strip lined with cafés, bars, and dive shops. We’re just a one-minute walk from the main harbour, making us one of the easiest dive centres to reach as soon as you arrive on Gili T. Step straight off the boat, follow the beach to the left, and you’ll find us overlooking the turquoise water — the perfect spot to start your next adventure beneath the surface.
